CLAT 2020 Exam Pattern

1. The exam offering admissions to both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
2. The exam will be a Pen-Paper Based Test (PBT)
3. There would be a total of 150 objective types of questions.
4. The postgraduate paper will have two types of questions - Objective (100 Questions) and Subjective (2 Questions)
5. Subjective type of Questions in the Postgraduate paper will each carry 25 marks.
Syllabus for Undergraduate programs
1. English Language Comprehension- This section will test the student's command over the English Language. Topics asked in this section include unseen passages, grammatical problems, and other related problems.
2. Current Affairs and General Knowledge- In this section, questions are based on current affairs, general knowledge, awards, and recognition. Through these sets of questions, General Knowledge and awareness of the students will be tested.
3. Legal Aptitude- In this section questions will be asked based on the study of law, research aptitude, and problem-solving ability.
4. Logical Reasoning- The purpose of the logical reasoning section to test aspirants' ability to identify patterns, logical links, and rectify illogical arguments.

1. Constitutional law
2. Other major law subjects as a contract, Criminal Law International law, and Jurisprudence

- Be an Early Bird and learn new words everyday- It is always recommended to start the preparation as quickly as you can as this will help you to an upper hand over the aspirants.
